Woodside Riding School, the leading Horse Riding club in Nottingham, is thrilled to announce their upcoming event – Own a Pony Days. These fantastic days are held during school holidays and offer a full day of horse and pony riding for riders of all ages and abilities.
Starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm, Own a Pony Days provide incredible value at just £47 per day. Whether you're looking for a fun day out or searching for the perfect gift, this event is not to be missed.
The day kicks off with the exciting task of preparing the horse or pony's stable and ensuring they're well-fed for the day ahead. After that, participants will learn the essential skill of catching their own horses, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
But the fun doesn't stop there! Once everyone has had a chance to catch their trusted steed, there's a short break and a grooming demonstration. You'll have the opportunity to show off your grooming skills and give your horse some love and attention. Who knows, you might even pick up a few grooming tips along the way.
After a thorough grooming session, it's time to get the horses ready for riding. This includes adding plaits to their manes and tails, ensuring they look their best for the day's adventures. Once the ponies are groomed and tacked up, it's off to the riding school for lessons and games, followed by an exciting ride through the beautiful nearby woods.
Of course, we understand that riders need sustenance to keep their energy levels up, so a well-deserved lunch break is provided to refuel before the second riding session.
As the day winds down, participants will have the opportunity to untack and brush the horses, followed by giving them their evening meal and returning them to the paddock. In the true spirit of teamwork, everyone will also assist in mucking out the stables.
