Established in 1981, Oval Ski Club operates on a not-for-profit basis, with all funds being reinvested into the maintenance and upkeep of the club and equipment. The club is run by a committee of volunteers, who are elected on an annual basis.
The dry ski slope of Oval Ski Club is conveniently located behind the Oval Leisure Centre in Bebington, Wirral. This location is easily accessible for individuals residing in Wirral, Cheshire, Liverpool, and Merseyside areas.
The club offers skiing sessions for both juniors and adults. Junior club sessions take place on Saturdays, with beginners starting at 10 am and intermediates/advanced skiers from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm. For the younger ones under the age of 5, sessions can be booked in advance. Adult club sessions are held on Sundays, with beginners from 4 pm to 5 pm, and improvers from 5 pm to 6 pm.
Open practise, with coaching available, is also conducted from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm.
To become a member of Oval Ski Club, individuals are required to complete an online membership form or download and print the forms and bring them to their first session. Junior membership costs 10 per year.
