At Ottery Taekwondo, instruction comes from Andy Taylor, aka Mr T, and Beth Taylor, aka Mrs T. Both hold 2nd degree black belts and are qualified Tae Kwon-Do referees and umpires. They have completed DBS checks, child protection training, equity training, and are certified first-aiders.
Andy and Beth Taylor began practising Tae Kwon-Do in 2003 for family fitness. The sport has since enhanced their flexibility and overall well-being. Their passion led them to launch Ottery Taekwondo and Sidmouth Taekwondo, offering classes for all ages and abilities.
At Ottery Taekwondo, training is both fun and beneficial, promoting fitness, confidence, courtesy, and discipline. Families are encouraged to train together, including children from age 6, who can develop self-confidence, respect, and discipline.
Tae Kwon-Do, a Korean martial art, focuses on punches, kicks, blocks, dodges, and self-defence restraints. Ottery Taekwondo’s affiliation with TAGB ensures top-notch training and opportunities for tournaments and gradings.
