Ottery St Mary Cricket Club

Welcome to Ottery St Mary Cricket Club, a friendly and inclusive club located in the beautiful rolling hills of East Devon. Situated on the edge of the picturesque town of Ottery St. Mary, the club offers a welcoming environment for cricket enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.

The club currently runs two senior teams that compete in the Devon Cricket League. The first team competes in the C (East) Division, while the second team plays in the E (East) Division. In addition to the league matches, the club also has a Sunday team that participates in friendly matches, as well as midweek touring and evening games. Our T20 team typically plays on Wednesday evenings.

Ottery St Mary CC is proud to have a thriving Junior Section, offering coaching for juniors aged 5 and upwards. We have teams at Under 10 (hardball and softball), 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, who compete in the East Devon Youth League. Furthermore, the club continues to host women's and girls' cricket, supporting the development of the sport in the local community.

During the winter months, the club runs an indoor team that participates in the Sidmouth (LED) Indoor Cricket League. Team training and nets start in January and run into April until outdoor training begins. The club warmly welcomes new members at all levels, from beginners to experienced players. At Ottery St Mary CC, we take pride in our achievements on the field. Our teams have consistently performed well, resulting in various victories and accolades. We also recognise the individual contributions of our members, with keith Moody currently holding the title of top run scorer, Pete Chapman boasting the highest strike rate, and Brendan Coles with the best average.

As a proud member of the Devon Cricket League, our 1st XI currently holds the 3rd position in the C Division East for the 2023 season. We aim to continue pushing boundaries and achieving new heights in the years to come.
