In the summer months, Minehead is home to a variety of species, including bass, mackerel, and rays. Osprey Charters specialises in Deep Sea Fishing, taking anglers further out into the Bristol Channel to target larger and more powerful species. Osprey is a 10 metre (33 feet) Cougar catamaran, custom-built and fitted out by the skipper Steve Webber. Powered by twin Nanni 200hp turbo diesel engines, she provides a fast and stable fishing platform. The twin hull design ensures stability both at anchor and while drifting, while the deep keels further enhance stability. The vessel is fully certified to carry 10 passengers up to 60 miles from a safe haven.

Equipped with the latest marine electronics, including fish finders and GPS navigation systems, the wheelhouse helps Steve put you right on the fish. The vessel is also equipped with all the required safety equipment, including a liferaft. Accessibility is a priority, as Osprey features a side door in the hull for easy boarding and can comfortably accommodate wheelchair users. Additionally, the WC is located at deck level for easy access.

With a spacious deck that can accommodate up to 10 anglers, there is plenty of room for manoeuvring.

Steve Webber, the skipper of Osprey, has over 30 years of experience skippering charter boats out of Minehead Harbour. He is highly skilled and knowledgeable in fishing the Bristol Channel and holds all the necessary qualifications to take paying passengers to their fishing destinations. Steve's expertise goes beyond skippering, as he has personally built and fitted out all of his boats. He is also a fully qualified mechanic.

Osprey Charters can cater to all types of fishing, including Up-tiding, Inshore Reef Fishing, Offshore Banks & Gulleys Wrecking, and Species Trips. Steve has worked with various clubs, individuals, and national and international teams over the years, ensuring that both experienced and novice anglers have a memorable and enjoyable experience. Charters are available for 4, 8, 10, and 12 hours, and multi-day trips can be arranged and booked in advance.
