The Orillia Academy of Karate is a traditional martial arts school that focuses on non-contact training. Located at Rotary Place in Orillia, our classes are suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have previous martial arts experience. We welcome children over the age of ten and offer highly disciplined yet fun and friendly classes.
Karate at our academy goes beyond physical training, incorporating values such as self-respect, respect for others, responsibility, and honesty. Classes also focus on developing a positive self-image, public speaking skills, and compassion. Sessions run for 8 weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays starting January 10th, 2024, with a cost of $145 for residents and $181. 25 for non-residents.
Our instructors at the Orillia Academy of Karate have extensive experience in martial arts, with Chief Instructor Gerry Ramsay leading the team of black belt instructors including Jack Shell, Ian Munday, Stacy Theis, and Daniel Patriquin. Kids classes are instructed by black belt Stacey Theis on Wednesdays for new juniors and Mondays for returning juniors.
