Swim for Tri is excited to announce an upcoming open water fitness session at Stubbers Lake in Upminster, RM14 2TY. This session is perfect for experienced open-water swimmers looking to practice and improve their skills in a relaxed and un-coached environment. Participants have the freedom to swim as many laps of the lake as they wish within the designated time frame.
Please take note that there will be no session available on July 15th as there will be an event taking place at the location. Registration for the session will open 30 minutes before the start time. The cost for a single fitness session is £12, with options for discounted rates of £45 for 5 sessions and £80 for 10 sessions. It is highly recommended to pre-book your desired dates through the provided link to secure your spot as spaces are limited.
To be eligible to join the fitness group, swimmers must have previous experience in open-water swimming and be able to swim a minimum of 750m without stopping. If you are new to open-water swimming, a skills session is required before participating in the fitness group. Swimmers must also come prepared with their own wetsuit and a brightly coloured swim hat (excluding red), which can be purchased for £8 on the day of the session.
After the swim, participants have the option to use the showers for a fee of £3 or with an annual membership at Stubbers. While changing rooms will not be available, toilets and a cold shower are provided for your convenience. In the case of any basic first aid needs, the registration gazebo will be equipped to assist. For emergencies in the water, kayaks, and lifeguards will be on standby as usual to ensure the safety of all participants.
