Ontario Hockey Federation

The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) is a prominent sports club located in Cambridge, Ontario, dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of hockey. As the largest member of Hockey Canada, the OHF operates alongside Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) and Hockey Northwestern Ontario (HNO) as the governing bodies for amateur hockey in Ontario. Recognized as a Provincial Sport Organization by the Province of Ontario, the OHF works within a structured framework comprised of seven different Members, each operating programs within their jurisdiction while adhering to Hockey Canada and OHF regulations, rules, and policies.

One of the key initiatives of the Ontario Hockey Federation is the development of players, coaches, and officials within the sport of hockey. The OHF provides administrative resources, coordinates programs, services, and events for hockey participants and members, ensuring that individuals have access to high-quality training and support to help them reach their full potential in the sport. From player development programs to coaching clinics and officiating courses, the OHF is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship within the hockey community.

In addition to its focus on player and skills development, the Ontario Hockey Federation also embraces inclusivity and diversity in the sport of hockey. The club offers sledge hockey programs, the Paralympic version of ice hockey, which provides individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in the exciting game. Sledge hockey teams, comprised of six players on the ice, including the goaltender, compete in games consisting of three 15-minute stop-time periods, aiming to outscore their opponents while displaying exceptional skill and teamwork on the ice.
