David, the organiser over at One Step Rhythmic Blackpool Gymnastics Club, has a little note to share with you all.

David wants to give you a heads-up that the club is all about expanding horizons and uncovering new rhythmic gymnastics stars. Located right here in Blackpool, the club welcomes everyone keen to dive into this elegant sport, regardless of age.

Rhythmic gymnastics involves some pretty nifty maneuvers with apparatus like ropes, hoops, balls, clubs, ribbons, and good old freehand. It blends ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus work into one, making it a solid foundation for any athlete. Participants strut their stuff in both individual and group events, showing off their skills and confidence.

For the little ones, aged 4–5 years old, the club offers beginner and development classes. These sessions focus on balance, flexibility, strength, agility, and a touch of ballet basics. The kids will get to dance around with various equipment like balls, hoops, skipping ropes, and ribbons. It's a dynamic and fun way for youngsters to boost their skills and confidence.

Plus, the gymnasts have the chance to perform at competitions, stepping up their game according to their level.

Founded with the goal of providing the best learning experience, the club mirrors the vibrant energy of Blackpool. David and his passionate team are all about helping students achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

The club has a variety of classes running through the week. Beginners are welcome on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:00pm, and intermediate and competition gymnasts from 5:00-7:00pm. Saturdays have a class for all levels from 10:00-11:00am. Beginners classes suit children aged 4 to 11, while intermediate classes cater to those aged 6 to 16.
