Message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Our club offers a range of activities for both juniors and adults, including club competitions, coaching sessions, and social events.
Olney Bowling Club takes pride in its achievements and the success of its members. We congratulate Harvey Whitmack for being selected by Bowls England to join the shortlist for the Junior International Squad. He is the only junior from Bucks selected and will attend a junior performance day on Sunday 9th July. From this, an under 18 team will be selected to play an international series v Wales during the first weekend in August.
We wish him the best of luck!
Every Tuesday evening, members can participate in the Points Night competition by paying a 2. 50 entry fee. This competitive event allows members to showcase their skills and compete for prizes. Another exciting event is the Last Man Standing match, a game that progressively eliminates players until only one is left standing.
Participants can look forward to a fun-filled experience and the chance to win a prize. The next Last Man Standing match will take place on the 28th of April at 6:30pm.
Our famous Joker game also makes regular appearances at the club. By entering our 5 prize raffle and winning, you will be entitled to a free entry into the Joker game. Find the Joker, and you could win the Jokers Pot, which currently stands at 322. Make sure to get your ticket when they next go on sale!
Olney Bowling Club has also achieved success in county championships. Harvey Whitmack played in the U18 County championship at Aylesbury Town Bowls Club and emerged as the County Champion. Not far behind is JD Boshoff, who secured third place overall. These accomplishments are a great boost for our club and showcase the talent within our ranks.
For those interested in improving their skills, Olney Bowling Club offers a Coaching Centre. As the season comes to an end, members can visit our website and access video content that can be viewed during the close season. To receive personal coaching, members can speak to our Chief Coach, Dave Hoyland, and arrange a coaching session for the upcoming 2023 season.
We have a thriving Juniors section for those aged between 8 to 18. If you're looking to learn a new sport, consider giving lawn bowls a try. Parents or carers can contact us via our Enquiries Page to express their interest, and one of our Junior section coaches will be in touch. If Covid restrictions allow, you can drop by the Bowling Green any Friday during the season between 4:30pm and 6:00pm to see for yourself.
If restrictions are still in place, simply email us via our Enquiries Page, and one of our Junior Section Coaches will be happy to provide more information.
