About

Old Boys Training is a personal training service located in Salisbury, New Zealand. Founded by Jo White, a 55-year-old cancer survivor and fighter, Old Boys Training is dedicated to helping individuals improve their fitness levels and overcome injuries through adventure training.

Jo White has an extensive background in fitness and rehabilitation. Since 1998, he has worked as a Civilian Instructor (I01) with the Military, focusing on improving the fitness of both civilian and military personnel after injuries. His experience includes working at the Army School of Physical Training at Bulford, Salisbury Plain, and the Army Sub Aqua Diving Centre in Bovington, Dorset. Additionally, he has travelled worldwide, teaching activities such as sub-aqua diving, mountain leading, running, functional fitness, swimming, athletics, and weightlifting.

In addition to his career as an instructor, Jo White is currently taking on the 1000 Mountain challenge to raise funds for charities close to his heart. Starting in March 2022, he aims to climb 1000 mountains, primarily in the UK, accompanied by his dog Bear. His previous challenge, the #365DaysOfAction challenge, was completed in May 2021. Jo's goal for the 1000 Mountain challenge is to raise 100,000 for Sarcoma UK, a relatively unknown cancer charity that provides research and support for sarcoma cancer patients in the UK.

By undertaking this challenge, Jo White wants to create awareness about the benefits of exercise in the great outdoors and inspire others to fight for causes they care about. He believes that anything is possible, both physically and mentally, as long as you keep pushing forward. He also wants to express gratitude to the medical professionals who have kept him alive since 2014 and encourage others to contribute to the medical community.

Old Boys Training welcomes individuals to join Jo White on parts of his 1000 Mountain challenge. Any support, whether through participation or donations, is greatly appreciated. To stay updated on Jo's journey, you can follow him on Instagram with the hashtag #oldboystraining. If you have any questions about his challenge or training services, you can contact Jo directly through a phone call or email.

In conclusion, Jo White and Old Boys Training offer an adventure-based personal training experience for individuals looking to improve their fitness and overcome injuries. With years of experience in working with the Military and a personal journey through cancer, Jo is committed to helping others reach their fitness goals while raising funds for worthy causes. Join Jo on his 1000 Mountain challenge and be a part of something impactful and inspiring.
