OKANAGAN HOCKEY

Field Hockey Okanagan is a vibrant and inclusive hockey club based in Kelowna, offering opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the sport of field hockey. The club boasts a great location with artificial turf at Field 15 of the Mission Sports Field on Gordon Drive for their regular Monday practices. In addition, they run an Indoor Winter League during May and June at the Capital News Centre on Gordon Drive, with sessions held on Thursdays and Mondays.

New players are always welcome to join Field Hockey Okanagan, with registration available via email. The club provides red and white shirts for players to purchase, along with the requirement for all participants to register with BC Field Hockey online. Field Hockey Okanagan plays a crucial role in the Okanagan Valley and the interior of British Columbia, providing support, management, and opportunities for athletes, officials, and coaches alike.

The vision of Field Hockey Okanagan is to be recognized as leaders and innovators in the sport throughout Canada and the world. They strive to develop the infrastructure to ensure effective governance and leadership for field hockey in the Okanagan Valley, promoting partnerships to increase participation in the province. The club is a part of the Canadian field hockey scene, with a focus on the Olympic qualification year for the Senior Canadian Field Hockey National Teams.

Field Hockey Okanagan is affiliated with British Columbia Field Hockey, the Provincial Sports Organization dedicated to supporting and developing field hockey in the province. They work in partnership with Field Hockey Canada to provide opportunities for British Columbians to experience the exciting sport of field hockey. The club also hosts the 'LAKE and BAKE' annual field hockey festival, offering a fun and competitive seven-a-side mixed teams event in the beautiful Okanagan Valley.
