Ohakune Hot Tubs is a luxurious spa and swimming facility located in the beautiful town of Ohakune, New Zealand. Situated at the foothills of Mt Ruapehu, our wood-fired hot tubs provide the perfect opportunity for relaxation and rejuvenation after a day of activities in and around Tongariro National Park.
At Ohakune Hot Tubs, we strive to ensure that each guest experiences pure bliss and tranquillity. With our private open-air hot tubs, you can immerse yourself in warm, bubbly water while enjoying the crackle and aroma of the wood fire. Whether you're here for some alone time, a romantic getaway, or a small group outing to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, we guarantee that you will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Finding us is easy, as we are located in the Junction area of Ohakune, just 300 metres from the start of the Ohakune Mountain Road. Once you arrive, we will have your tub full and hot, waiting for you to sink into and unwind.
Our rates are affordable and cater to different group sizes. A 1-hour hot tub session for one adult is priced at $89, while two adults can enjoy it for $110. The rates for three adults, four adults, and children (aged 5-17) are $130, $150, and $15 respectively. We kindly request you to bring your towel and swimwear, but if you forget, towel hire is available.
Before booking, please take note of our terms and conditions. Our hot tubs are not suitable for children aged 4 years and under. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and the maximum occupancy per tub is 4 adults and 1 child. The last entry for children is at 6:00pm.
In terms of our cancellation policy, no refund will be provided within 24 hours of the booking. Within 24–48 hours, a 50% booking fee will be charged, and for cancellations made outside 48 hours, a full refund (minus a $10 booking fee) will be issued.
Our wood-burning hot tubs are constructed with a stainless steel interior and feature cedar timber cladding, providing a natural and luxurious ambiance. For each booking, we fill the tubs with fresh water and refrain from using chemicals, making our hot tub experience eco-friendly. The waste water from your session is thoughtfully utilised to irrigate the lush gardens and support the local plant life, aligning with our commitment to Kaitiakitanga (guardianship and sustainability).
We have flexible opening hours to accommodate your schedule. From Monday to Friday, we are open from 4pm to 10pm, and on weekends, we open at 2pm and close at 10pm.
