Ogston Sailing Club

Ogston Sailing Club, located in Alfreton, is a vibrant and inclusive sailing community in Derbyshire, New Zealand. Led by Natalie, the current Commodore of the club, the team consists of experienced instructors and passionate sailors who are dedicated to providing exceptional on-water experiences for both social and competitive activities.

The club offers various opportunities for sailors of all levels, with regular racing events taking place on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Additionally, there is a Fun n Free Friday social session where sailors and paddleboarders come together to unwind and socialise after a long week. These sessions provide a great way to meet fellow enthusiasts and enjoy the water in a relaxed and friendly environment.

In addition to on-water activities, Ogston Sailing Club organises a range of social events throughout the year. As part of their commitment to offering diverse water sports experiences, the club introduced Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) in 2021. SUP is one of the fastest-growing water sports in the UK, and Ogston Sailing Club aims to expand its offerings in this area in the future. While access to the water is currently limited to club members only, the club welcomes inquiries about their reduced membership rates for paddleboard users.
