Mark would like to extend a warm invitation to Oakham Cricket Club, situated right in the heart of Rutland. The club's town-centre ground is a great spot for cricket lovers of all ages, offering fantastic opportunities for everyone.
For the adults, Mark shares that Oakham CC has four weekend league teams, with the 1st XI playing in the esteemed Leicestershire & Rutland ECB Premier League. There’s also a T20 league team that competes on Tuesday nights, catering to those who enjoy a fast-paced game of cricket.
Mark is particularly proud of the thriving junior section at Oakham CC. Over 150 boys and girls, aged 4-15, come together for the club's Friday night sessions. The All Stars and Dynamos programmes offer a fun introduction to cricket for young ones. Junior coaching is top-notch, with guidance from Tom Flowers Cricket Coaching.
Oakham CC's talent speaks for itself, as the club is home to the National U15's Champions. This recognition reflects the dedication and standards upheld by the club, thanks to Mark and his team. Developing young cricket talent is a key focus, and it demonstrates in their successes.
