Welcome to the Oakey Country Golf Club Incorporated, a small country public golf club located in Oakey, on the Darling Downs in Queensland. Established in 1962, we are nestled amongst the scenic farmland, adjacent to the Warrego Highway.
While we may lack the sophistication of city golf clubs, what we do have is open clean air, abundant wildlife, and a warm invitation for anyone to come and give our course a try. Our 10-hole course provides a unique and challenging 18-hole venue for golf enthusiasts of all levels.
The Oakey Golf Club Incorporated has a rich history of hosting various competitions and events. In 2023, the winners of the Men's Honour Board A Grade, Nett Men's Champion, and Club Champion were Andrew King, while the Men's Foursomes winners were Bob Costello & Andrew King. Alan De Ross claimed victory in the Matchplay and Medal of Medallist categories, and Paul Jones emerged as the winner in B Grade.
For the women's competitions in 2023, Sheryl Barlow was crowned Club Champion and A Grade winner, Iris Thompson triumphed in B Grade, and Daphne Webster OAM clinched the C Grade title. Iris Thompson also claimed victory in the Rosebowl for the Best Nett over 3 rounds and the Matchplay category. Kathy Fenton secured the Challenge Cup.
Since our establishment in 1962, we have strived to provide the local community with access to the royal game of golf. Our course covers over 50 acres of land, bordered by the Warrego Highway, and is open to the public. We aim to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for golfers of all ages and abilities.
