Nunthorpe Athletic Junior Football Club is a community club located in Middlesbrough, specifically in Nunthorpe. As an FA Charter Standard Community Club, Nunthorpe Athletic JFC offers competitive yet friendly team football for boys and girls aged between 6 and 18. The club participates in the TJFA and North Riding Football Leagues.
In addition to team football, Nunthorpe Athletic JFC also provides a Saturday morning Coaching club and holiday coaching clubs for children of all ages. The Saturday morning sessions focus on engaging children with coaches, incorporating exercise, drills for small development, and concluding with a fun small-sided game. Parents are encouraged to stay and support their children during these sessions.
The club promotes equal opportunities for all children, regardless of their age, colour, or race. Nunthorpe Athletic JFC holds the belief that organised friendly football can be enjoyed by both girls and boys, fostering the desire to become involved with the team. The aim of the club is to provide a fun-filled experience that improves children's footballing skills, introduces them to team sport, helps them make new friends, and develops their social skills.
Nunthorpe Athletic JFC is always looking for new faces and encourages young children to get involved in football. Every year, the club forms at least one new under 7 team for the upcoming season, allowing players who have participated in the Saturday morning sessions to step up. If a child is aged 6 on the 31st of August, they are eligible to participate in under 7 football.
Individual training for the under 7 team commences in October 2022, and the club welcomes interested individuals to contact Sean at 0845 050 9278 or email football@nunthorpejfc. Co. uk. Nunthorpe Athletic JFC values the safety of its players and has a designated Club Welfare Officer, Ross Watson, ensuring child safety policies are followed.
The club also offers various opportunities for individuals and companies to support and contribute to the club's success. There are openings for volunteer managers and coaches on Saturday mornings, and companies can sponsor teams or assist in raising funds.
Nunthorpe Athletic JFC encourages people to stay updated through their Facebook page, where they can like, share, and receive news about match day and Saturday morning cancellations through text alerts by providing their name and mobile number via email.
Overall, Nunthorpe Athletic JFC is a welcoming and inclusive football club that provides children with the opportunity to participate in team football, develop skills, make friends, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
