The Northern Territory Calisthenics Association (NTCA) has some exciting competitions lined up for the year, including the Graceful, Solo and Duo Competitions on May 4, 2024, the NTCA Team Championships on September 21-22, 2024, and the Frangipani Challenge also on September 21-22, 2024. NTCA extends a warm invitation to development teams from other states to participate in the Frangipani Challenge and test their skills against our NT Teams.
To ensure your child is ready for these competitions, you can find helpful hints on the NTCA website. NTCA adheres to the competition rules set by the Australian Calisthenics Federation (ACF) but also has some flexible rules tailored to the unique calisthenics scene in the NT. These rules have been approved by a select subcommittee of the Northern Territory Calisthenics community. You can access the full set of competition rules from the ACF and NTCA on the NTCA website.
In addition to our local competitions, there are the highly anticipated ACF National Championships held annually in July, showcasing the best of calisthenics talent from across Australia. The championships feature team competitions for various age groups as well as an Individual competition for State and Territory representatives.
For those in Darwin interested in joining a calisthenics club, options include the Arafura Calisthenics Club in Malak, the Dream Calisthenics Dance Club in Howard Springs, or the Top End Calisthenics Club in Jingili and Palmerston.
