Northwood Cricket Club

Northwood Cricket Club, located in Northwood, is a well-established and ambitious cricket club that has been in existence for over 146 years. Situated at the Ducks Hill Road ground, the club boasts state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated focus on nurturing and developing talent.

The club features two recently refurbished nets and practise facilities, complete with bowling machines, providing an excellent environment for players to enhance their skills. In 2023, a refurbished square was added to the grounds, with further improvements and projects planned for the coming years.

Northwood CC is proud to field five Saturday league XI's in the highly competitive Saracens Hertfordshire top League Division, with teams competing in Division 2a, 5b, 10South, 11West, and 11South. Additionally, the club participates in the Sunday Chess Valley League Division 2 and fields a Sunday/Midweek Friendly XI.

A key priority for Northwood CC is nurturing talent and providing a clear pathway for colts into adult cricket. The club offers top coaching and state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring players have the best opportunities to excel and progress to representative cricket at area and county levels, including Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

Northwood CC is not only focused on cricket but also hosts various sporting events throughout the year. The club is renowned for its Cricket Week held in July, as well as a bi-annual match against the MCC and an annual tour. This vibrant social scene, combined with the camaraderie of all the sides, makes Northwood CC an exciting place to play or spectate.

The club places great importance on its bar and social activities, considering them to be the heart of the family-oriented club. Members, new and old, are encouraged to embrace the camaraderie and mingle after matches, enjoying the social atmosphere.

Those interested in joining Northwood CC, whether for elite team play or simply for the fun and social aspect, are welcome to attend net sessions. The club also boasts a thriving Colts section, welcoming boys and girls from the ages of 7 and above. Various teams participate in the Middlesex Colts Association North Area League, including U10a, U10b, U11, U12, U13, U15a & U15b, U17 & U19 teams.
