Kingfish are known for their powerful, fast runs and aggressive fights. At Northside Adventures, we specialise in targeting kingfish using a variety of techniques such as slow jigging, topwater, mechanical jigging, and livebait fishing. We recommend up to 4 anglers fishing for kingfish. These hard-fighting fish can be found year-round in the Hauraki Gulf.

Our experienced crew knows the best spots to find them and will guide you through the techniques to increase your chances of hooking a trophy kingfish.

Our pride and joy is our 2018 custom-built Surtees 750 Game Fisher. This boat is equipped with the latest Garmin electronics, including GPS and fish finders, to ensure we are always in the right spot. It has a live bait tank and tuna tubes for keeping bait fish fresh and healthy. A private flushing toilet is available on board for your convenience.

We also have a Bluetooth stereo system, so you can enjoy some tunes while you fish.

The Surtees 750 Game Fisher is a fast and capable charter boat, allowing us to travel long distances and reach remote fishing spots. We can offer day trips to stunning locations like the Mokohinau Islands, or even extended multi-day charters to destinations like Great Barrier Island. No matter where we go, you can rest assured that you'll be fishing in comfort and style.
