North Northumberland Golf League

North Northumberland Golf League, led by organiser John Smith, is based in Berwick-upon-Tweed, UK. Since its inception in 1949, the league has expanded to include teams from fourteen golf clubs, offering diverse coastal and inland courses. Covering Northumberland from Morpeth to Berwick-upon-Tweed, it's a key golfing hub in the region.

The Scratch League is a major draw, featuring 13 teams of elite golfers competing throughout the summer. Additionally, the Glendale Trophy adds a layer of team matchplay excitement.

A distinctive aspect of the league is the League Open Days, individual stableford competitions for male members with opportunities to win Net and Gross prizes, plus a team league that fosters camaraderie.

For senior members, the Jack Deeble Seniors League offers competitive interclub matches in a unique format, allowing seniors to shine.

In 2022, John Smith introduced the Members League, tailored for non-scratch golfers, featuring a team matchplay format and the W T Bathgate Trophy knockout competition.
