
Northern Beaches Pilates (Newport) is a Pilates studio located in the beautiful region of Sydney, owned by local Anneb Pettersen. With over 40 years of experience in Classical Ballet and Dance, Health and Fitness, and Pilates, Anneb brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her classes.
Anneb's journey into the world of Pilates began when she took over a ballet school at the age of 20, which she successfully ran for 16 years. During this time, she also completed a Bachelor of Social Work at Sydney University. In 1991, Anneb obtained her Fitness Leader Certification and taught Aerobics in various local gyms and fitness centres, demonstrating her genuine interest in people's well-being.
In 2001, with the goal of further assisting clients in achieving their health and fitness goals, improving flexibility and mobility, and relieving stress, aches, and pains, Anneb became a Certified Pilates Instructor and established Northern Beaches Pilates. This welcoming studio offers a wide range of graded Pilates classes and Zumba suitable for both men and women of all fitness levels.
At Northern Beaches Pilates, clients can expect a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where precise technique, experience, variety, and enjoyment are brought to each class by Anneb. To ensure individual attention, class sizes are kept small, and a variety of equipment such as Magic Circles, Chi-balls, therabands, and Fitballs are utilised to keep classes engaging and dynamic.
