Northern Alberta Aikikai is a martial arts school located in Edmonton, Alberta, offering training in the art of Aikido. The school follows the teachings of Morihei Ueshiba, O'Sensei, and has direct lineage to the World Aikikai in Japan through the California Aikido Association. The instructors at Northern Alberta Aikikai have many years of experience and training in dojos across North America and around the world.
Sensei Tom Davidson, a Godan (5th Dan), is the Dojo Cho and Head Instructor at Northern Alberta Aikikai, with over 30 years of experience in Aikido. Other skilled instructors at the school include Wanda Goulden (Yondan - 4th Dan), Carl Smith (Nidan - 2nd Dan), Kelly Candy (Sandan - 3rd Dan), and Jay Candy (Sandan - 3rd Dan).
Northern Alberta Aikikai prides itself on being a small dojo with a big heart, providing a safe and friendly environment for students to learn about Aikido. The school offers monthly fees of $90 per month or $270 quarterly, with a special start-up incentive for new students of a one-time fee of $199 for 3 months of training.
Located at 14809 Yellowhead Trail in Edmonton, Northern Alberta Aikikai offers classes on Fridays from 7 pm to 9 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm. The school also hosts seminars with fees of $120 for a full weekend, $80 for Saturday only, and $45 per individual class.
