North East Snooker Centre

Just a quick note to let you all know about Peter’s latest venture over at the North East Snooker Centre in North Shields. You know Peter - he’s always been one for making things happen in our sports community. Well, he’s done it again with something pretty special for all of us cue sport enthusiasts.

The club’s open every day from 11am to 11pm, so there’s plenty of time to pop in. Peter’s made sure the place is top-notch, catering to everyone, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player.

The club has four Professional Star tables – yep, the ones you see on telly! This kind of set-up is a first for the North East, so it’s definitely worth checking out. And for something a bit different, there are two Riley Aristocrat tables with steel block cushions, plus four standard Riley snooker tables, all in great condition.

If you’re just starting out, there’s a nifty 9ft table to get you going before you take on the full-sized ones.

Peter’s also spruced up the place with some amazing facilities. Those Riley Aristocrat tables with the steel block cushions? They’ve seen action at the UK & Masters Championships and have been played on by nearly every top-64 world-ranked player. Pool players are sorted too with tournament-quality tables for 9-ball and 8-ball.

The club’s a hub for events too, hosting pro snooker exhibitions with big names like Dennis Taylor, Steve Davis, and Shaun Murphy. Imagine getting to play against one of these legends!

On the shop front, there’s a good selection of cues and accessories. Peter’s got professional cues from Craftsman & Mastercue and the new Mark Williams hand-spliced range. And unlike the high street, you can try before you buy. They even have junior cues on request.

There’s an in-house cue clinic and tipping service too for that personal touch.

For those keen on improving their game, Peter’s got you covered. Paul Rinaldi, who’s coached many top professionals and has over 1000 century breaks, is on hand. Plus, there’s a Saturday Morning Kids Club for boys and girls aged 8 to 16.

And if you’re wondering about gifts – the club offers vouchers for table time, cues, coaching, and membership fees; a great present for any snooker fan.
