North East Derbyshire Sub Aqua Club

North East Derbyshire Sub Aqua Club (NEDSAC) is a family-friendly scuba diving club located in Eckington, Derbyshire, just 6 miles from Chesterfield and 7 miles from Sheffield. As a branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC), NEDSAC offers top-quality pool and open water training for individuals of all skill levels, from beginners to instructors.

At NEDSAC, training is personalised and provided on a one-to-one basis by both male and female instructors. For pool training sessions, scuba kit can be supplied. The club is fortunate to have a team of highly qualified instructors who are able to offer in-house skill development courses such as Boat Handling, O2 Admin, and First Aid for Divers.

NEDSAC warmly welcomes qualified divers trained by other agencies to join their club. As an active dive club, they organise several dive trips each year, both internationally and within the UK. For UK diving, the club utilises their own boats and hard boats.

For those new to scuba diving, NEDSAC offers high-quality BSAC training suitable for beginners aged 12 years and above. Scuba diving is an adventure that can be enjoyed by anyone, and NEDSAC is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable learning experience.

If you are already a qualified diver with a certification from PADI, SSI, or any other agency, joining NEDSAC is an excellent opportunity to further develop your scuba diving skills and enjoy diving experiences with like-minded individuals.

If you have always wanted to learn to dive or are simply curious about scuba diving, NEDSAC offers Try Dive sessions which provide the perfect introduction. Under the guidance of a BSAC Instructor, participants will be introduced to basic dive skills and equipment in a safe and controlled pool environment. A typical Try Dive session lasts approximately 45 minutes and costs around 20. Please note that the minimum age for Try Dives is 12 years old.

NEDSAC takes pride in being run by experienced, BSAC-qualified instructors who prioritise safety and enjoyable diving experiences. By trying scuba diving through a Try Dive session, participants can save both time and money by ensuring that scuba diving is the right fit for them before committing to further training.
