Based in Gosport, Nomad Sailing is your go-to RYA Recognised Training Centre for all things sailing—whether you're aiming to get hands-on with practical sail training, embark on sailing adventures, or dive into shorebased theory courses.

Nomad Sailing offers RYA Practical Sailing Courses right in the lively tidal waters of the Solent. Suitable for all experience levels—beginners to those eyeing their Yachtmaster—it’s a place to learn, grow, and conquer the waves. Courses on offer include Start Yachting, Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper, and Yachtmaster Preparation.

Not to forget, for those who prefer classroom learning, they run RYA Shorebased Theory Courses in London and at Endeavour Quay in Gosport Marina. You can choose between evening sessions in London or intensive courses in Gosport. They cover Day Skipper Theory, Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory, VHF SRC Radio and, from 2020, First Aid and Diesel Engine courses at the Gosport Centre.

And, for those with a taste for adventure, Tom has paired up with the Ocean Collective. This partnership opens doors to sailing in stunning locations like Norway, the Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, the Hebrides, and the West Coast of Scotland and Ireland. Tom also runs Solent Yacht Charter at Haslar marina. They offer sail and motor boat charters, both bareboat and skippered. It’s perfect for a unique outing with friends, family, or even for corporate events.

If you're worried about passing the courses, don’t sweat it. Nomad Sailing has a Free Resit Guarantee. If you don’t pass or finish an RYA course, you can resit or rejoin another course at no extra cost—this applies to practical courses up to Day Skipper and all theory courses (excluding exam fees).
