Noak Hill Archery Club, located in Romford, is a prestigious archery club offering individuals the opportunity to engage in the sport of archery in all its modern, ancient, and traditional forms. This includes field, target, roving, and clout archery. However, due to recent legislation, the use of crossbows is not permitted within the club.
As an esteemed archery club, Noak Hill Archers is affiliated with major archery governing bodies, such as the GNAS and NFAS, ensuring that members can participate in recognised competitions and events. It is important to note that the club is exclusively for adults and does not accept individuals under the age of 18, unless they are the child of an established archer or a current member, and are over the age of 10.
The club's official target days are held on Wednesdays and Sundays, although members have the privilege of accessing the archery grounds all year round. Consequently, it is not uncommon to find archers practising on various days throughout the week. Many of our members choose to take part in competitions of varying distances throughout the year, ranging from short distance indoor competitions to the longest rounds.
Noak Hill Archers caters to a wide range of archers, as we have members who shoot with traditional bows as well as those who use precision compounds. Our covered canopy enables members to shoot at all distances even in inclement weather. However, for the collection of arrows, individuals must venture out into the rain. The club's covered area also provides an enclosed space for indoor practise, day or night, for distances up to 20 yards.
At Noak Hill Archers, we take pride in our highly capable coaching team, who are always ready to provide assistance when requested. Whether archers are experiencing difficulties or seeking formal coaching, our coaches are available to provide guidance and support. The club also offers Beginners Courses for those who are new to the sport, allowing individuals to learn the skills and techniques required to excel in archery.
