Waltz
A ballroom and folk dance getting its name from the German Walzer, the Waltz is a smooth dance characterised by its “rise and fall” action. Participants should aim to move their shoulders in parallel to the floor, instead of up and down, and look to have length in their steps. With distinctive timings and simple stepping patterns, the Waltz is a dance that can be very easy to learn.
