At NFKA Kingston Park, we practise a sporting style of Karate that emphasises freedom of movement and incorporates the best of traditional and modern systems. Our dedicated instructors focus on providing high-quality instruction, cultivating well-disciplined and technically excellent students.
One of the unique aspects of our club is our commitment to family participation. Karate is an activity that the whole family can enjoy, and we have designed our club to cater to this. Children as young as 5 years old (and 4 years old in our little Ninja's classes) are welcome to join, and our adult classes encompass a wide range of ages, from teenagers to individuals in their forties and fifties.
To become part of our club, we require a reasonable standard of fitness and a willingness to learn in a friendly and disciplined environment. If you have been inactive for some time or have had health concerns in the past, we encourage you to consult with one of our instructors or your doctor before commencing training.
Our training sessions are structured in a way that allows for age-appropriate learning. Children between the ages of 5 and 13 usually train in the junior class, while everyone else trains in the senior class. In fact, we actively encourage parents to join in with their children, and we have many family groups that regularly train together. The atmosphere in our classes is electric, and newcomers are often impressed by the positive and energetic environment.
Karate is not only a great way to stay fit, but it also helps relieve the stress of everyday life. Our timetable offers several training sessions throughout the week, making it convenient for individuals with busy schedules to find a class that suits them. From our Monday sessions in North Shields, Coxlodge, Blyth, and Bedlington, to our Thursday sessions in Wallsend, Cramlington, Beacon Hill, and Benwell, there are plenty of opportunities to train with us.
