Tom, the organiser at New Marske Harriers, invites all sports enthusiasts to join their athletic club in Redcar. With a strong local history, New Marske Harriers offers a welcoming environment for athletes of all skill levels and ages.
Each Tuesday at 6:00pm, members and non-members alike gather for a group run at the Redcar Rugby Club, with the session kicking off at 6:15pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, junior athletes aged 11 and up can participate in endurance training at Laurence Jackson Sports Village in Guisborough, which includes a mix of technical and fitness training.
The club also runs a separate technical session for juniors from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on those same days. Thursdays are also special for younger athletes, with Minnows (aged 8-11) enjoying games, track, and field activities from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. At the same time, juniors aged 11-18 can hone their skills in track and field.
For senior athletes, Thursday sessions focus on track speed and endurance from 6:45pm to 7:45pm. Saturdays are reserved for a senior training session at St. Thomas Church Hall in New Marske, featuring road and off-road running from 9:00am to 11:30am.
