New Lodge Riding Centre

New Lodge Riding Centre is a well-established horse riding school located in London. Founded in 1978 by Brian Green, the school initially started as a riding centre for individuals with disabilities. In 1984, they became affiliated with the National Riding for the Disabled (RDA) and have since been providing therapeutic riding facilities to both adults and children in the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham, and Southwark.

With a strong commitment to inclusivity, New Lodge Riding Centre caters to riders with a wide range of special needs, including physical, sensory, and learning difficulties. They currently have 11 RDA ponies/horses that are specially trained to work with individuals with disabilities.

The school operates six days a week and boasts a vibrant community of 75 to 100 regular riders. Their focus is to ensure that each individual has the opportunity to achieve their personal goals and derive direct therapeutic benefits. Riding at New Lodge Centre is not simply about learning to ride a horse; it is about reaching therapeutic goals, combating social isolation, developing life skills, experiencing the outdoors, and connecting with animals.
