Welcome to Newcastle Biomechanics, a fitness centre and physiotherapy clinic located in Mayfield West. We specialise in providing tailored rehabilitation and performance training using the Functional Patterns methodology. Our goal is to assess your movement and health behaviours and align them with relevant functions through individualised training sessions delivered by our verified Functional Patterns practitioner.
At Newcastle Biomechanics, we offer a range of services to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. Our rehab and injury prevention programme is designed to help you overcome any injuries or pain that may be holding you back. Through systematic reverse engineering of your movement and exercise behaviour, we can help you start moving and feeling better than ever.
We also offer massage and myofascial release services, where you can discover the benefits of self-myofascial release (self-massage) in managing pain and improving posture and movement. Our knowledgeable staff will guide you through this process, opening the door to a more sustainable body and enhanced capability to respond to stressors in your environment.
In addition, we provide posture and breathing training as well as dynamic biomechanical training. These exercises are aimed at improving your posture, building muscle, enhancing flexibility, and elevating your overall movement. Our ultimate objective is to create a sustainable body that is capable of responding effectively to the demands of your environment.
For new clients who are unfamiliar with the Functional Patterns methodology and the benefits it offers, our initial consult is the perfect introduction. During this session, we will provide a comprehensive overview of how Functional Patterns practitioners achieve unrivalled results in the fitness industry. We will also conduct a brief interview to understand any current or previous pain, injuries, and training history. Additionally, we will perform an in-depth analysis of your posture and gait cycle to identify inefficiencies and develop strategies for optimisation.
Newcastle Biomechanics is led by Stu, a verified Functional Patterns practitioner and a full-time physiotherapist. Stu has completed various courses in the Functional Patterns series and holds a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Newcastle.
