Newbridge Golf Club, known as the “Heart of Golf” in County Kildare, offers a picturesque and challenging 18-hole Parkland Course that was designed by Pat Suttle and opened in 1995. Situated in Barrettstown, the course features over 40,000 trees, including Japanese larch, cedars of Lebanon, and Norwegian Maple, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere for golfers.
The course is home to various wildlife, including Herons, Moorhens, Kingfisher, and Wild Ducks, adding an element of nature to the golfing experience. The layout of the course includes holes that are influenced by the Hill of Allen and the Bog of Allen, providing unique challenges for players of all skill levels. Thirteen holes feature water hazards, making it a fair yet demanding test for both low and high handicappers.
