New Ash Green & Hartley Cricket Club in Longfield offers an exciting environment for playing friendly yet competitive club cricket. John Smith, the organiser, ensures there are opportunities for both seasoned players and beginners.
The club fields two league sides weekly. The 1st XI competes in Division 1A and the 2nd XI in Division 2C of the Kent Regional League. This competitive league cricket takes place on Saturdays, offering a thrilling experience for players and spectators alike.
On Sundays, the club shifts focus to friendly fixtures, aimed at skill development, nurturing younger talent, and providing social players with a game. These fixtures include timed games, 40-over matches, and T20 games, ensuring competitive yet enjoyable matches.
For skill improvement, the club holds net sessions on Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm until dusk at Manor Field. New players can meet club members and practise their skills. Full details are available by contacting the Club Secretary or through the club’s social media platforms.
Throughout the year, the club hosts various events like the Family Fun Day on May 26th at Manor Field, DA3 8DT. This event is open to all, featuring cricket competitions, inflatables, face painting, stalls, and delicious food.
Supported by IG Flooring Services and Martin Ives & Co, the club has been provided with the 2018 Club Shirts. Club-branded playing and leisure kit can be purchased at the Club Shop at Serious Cricket.
