Newark Rowing Club, founded in 1873, is a historical and thriving rowing club located in Newark, New Zealand. Nestled along the picturesque River Trent, our club offers an exceptional stretch of water that provides our members with the perfect training environment, whether they are seeking to row long distances or simply enjoy a scenic recreational rowing experience.

Each squad receives dedicated support and guidance from our experienced coaching team.
With a focus on providing exceptional facilities, Newark Rowing Club boasts a custom-built clubhouse, available for hire, where members can relax and socialise. Additionally, we have a fully equipped gym for land training sessions and two spacious boat houses to accommodate our extensive fleet of boats. Our boats cater to a wide range of abilities, ensuring that both learners and seasoned rowers find the perfect fit for their needs.
As we celebrate our 150th anniversary, Newark Rowing Club is proud to be a fully affiliated club with British Rowing. We are committed to promoting the sport of rowing, and we offer taster sessions and learn-to-row courses for those who are inspired by watching the Olympics, Henley Regatta, or the Boat Race. Our fleet includes wider and more stable boats that are ideal for beginners, ensuring a safe and enjoyable introduction to the sport.
