Founded by the passionate surfer Donald Peace in 2007, New Wave Surf School has been a hub for surf enthusiasts of all levels. Donald's dedication to the sport and his unwavering commitment to spreading the joy of catching a wave have made the school a beloved institution in the area.
The New Wave Surf School team is a dynamic and diverse group of individuals who all share a deep love for surfing. Alongside Donald, there is Andy, the retired bike shop owner, who brings good vibes and valuable expertise to the teaching process. Hayden, Donald's eldest son, also lends a hand during the summer holidays, while pursuing his studies in Glasgow. When he's not on his surfboard, Hayden can be found strumming his guitar with his band, 'The Zebecks.'
Oli, Donald's youngest son, is a vital part of the team, assisting with lessons and gear rentals. After taking a break from surfing to explore other passions, Oli is excited to dive back into the world of surfing and share his enthusiasm with others. Malu, Donald's daughter, is another valued member, lending her skills to lessons and adding a touch of magic to the Surf Hut Crew. Her love for helping little kids catch waves is matched only by her passion for nature, fantasy art, and films.
Maisie, the daughter of the ever-helpful Andy, plays an essential role in our surf school team. She ensures that all used surf gear is diligently cleaned, stored, and organised, contributing to a seamless experience for all surfers. When she's not busy with surf school duties, Maisie can be found enjoying her other passions, such as playing ice hockey and catching waves with friends and family.
Fraser, a devoted member of the Lossie Surf Club, has become an integral part of our New Wave team. With his infectious enthusiasm and passion for surfing, Fraser assists with Surf Hut duties and will soon be offering his expertise in lessons during the summer. In his free time, you can find Fraser conquering the waves at Lossie and strumming his guitar, serenading the sea with his melodies.
Behind the scenes, Kerry, Donald's wife, works tirelessly to handle the admin side of the surf school, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Aside from her invaluable support at New Wave, Kerry also engages in various creative arts projects and runs creative mindfulness and wellbeing sessions for kids, adults, and families. When she's not busy, Kerry enjoys tending to her beautiful vegetable garden.
