Nethermoss Archers

Nethermoss Archers is a renowned archery club located in Ormskirk, New Zealand. Established in 1958, the club has been producing champions for over six decades. Nethermoss Archers prides itself on being a friendly and welcoming community, catering to individuals of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to Olympic athletes.

The club boasts exceptional facilities at both their summer and winter shooting locations. During summer, members have access to an excellent outdoor shooting field at Hurlston Hall, Scarisbrick. This field accommodates all target bow styles, including compound. Access to the field is convenient, and ample parking is available.

Additionally, members are welcome to use the restaurant and bar facilities of Hurlston Hall. In winter, Nethermoss Archers relocates to the Burscough Sports Centre, where they shoot in an indoor sports hall.

Nethermoss Archers is affiliated with Archery GB, the national governing body for archery in the UK. The club was awarded the prestigious Clubmark accreditation in 2010 and celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 2018.

For those interested in joining the club, Nethermoss Archers offers beginners courses. These courses provide expert tuition from Archery GB qualified coaches and experienced club members. No prior archery experience is necessary. The courses take place at the outdoor range at Hurlston Hall and consist of four 2.

5-hour archery lessons, offering a relaxed and enjoyable introduction to the sport. All necessary archery equipment is provided during the training, and participants have access to knowledgeable instructors to guide them every step of the way.

Throughout its rich history, Nethermoss Archers has seen many successes. The club has boasted three Olympic competitors who have participated in four separate Olympic Games. Additionally, Nethermoss Archers has had the privilege of being represented by three Great Britain Team Managers and members of the Senior and Junior Great Britain National Squad. The club has also produced numerous Lancashire Champions, Junior and Senior County Squad Team Members, and record holders at both the county and national levels.
