Welcome to Nethermoss Archers! If you're interested in archery, you've come to the right place. Nethermoss Archers is a fantastic archery club located in Ormskirk, shooting at Hurlston Hall in Scarisbrick during summer and at Burscough Sports Centre during winter.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced archer, Nethermoss Archers has something to offer everyone. The club prides itself on being friendly and welcoming, ensuring that all ages and abilities feel at home. From beginners taking their first shot to seasoned Olympic athletes, Nethermoss Archers caters to all levels of expertise.
Having been established in 1958, Nethermoss Archers is a club with a rich history. In 2010, the club was honoured with the prestigious Clubmark award, recognising their commitment to providing top-notch facilities and a safe environment for archery enthusiasts. And in 2018, the club celebrated its Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years of archery excellence.
Speaking of facilities, Nethermoss Archers boasts excellent ones. At Hurlston Hall, they have a fantastic outdoor shooting field where archers can practice all target bow styles, including compound bows. Not only is the field easily accessible, but it also offers ample parking for members and guests. Please note that access to the field is restricted to club members and authorised guests.
During winter, the club moves its activities to the well-equipped indoor sports hall at Burscough Sports Centre. Archers, both newcomers and Archery GB members, are welcome as guests during this time.
In fact, Nethermoss Archers is affiliated with Archery GB, the national governing body for archery in the UK. This ensures that the club follows the highest standards in the sport and provides members with opportunities to participate in competitions and events at a national level.
