Nelson Bay Hash House Harriers (NBH3) is a family sport club located in Nelson Bay - Corlette in New South Wales, Australia. With an average pack size of 50 to 70 members, NBH3 welcomes both locals and visiting hashers who are interested in giving hashing a try.
The club regularly meets every Monday evening at 6:00 p. m. throughout the year. On long weekends, the club aims to have an earlier start at 4:00 p.
m. to accommodate families. During the meetups, participants can enjoy a basic Mash, at the discretion of the hare, and are encouraged to bring their own beer, wine, or soft drinks. The run cost is $5.
00 for adults and $2. 00 for kids.
NBH3 has a rich history dating back to its founding in 2001 by David “Copra” Hollingsworth from Sydney H3 and Allan “Slimey” Wearne from P. N. G. The first run took place on January 22, 2001, at Foreshore Drive, Salamander Bay, with an impressive 37 starters, including visitors from Hunter H3, locals, and other visitors.
Visiting hashers are always welcome to join NBH3, and no introduction is necessary. Interested individuals can simply check the club's website or social media pages to find out the meeting location and show up to participate.
NBH3 is managed by a dedicated team of office bearers, often known as the Mismanagement in hash circles. Positions in the club's management include Grand Master, Hash Cash, Scribe, GM's Bitch, Religious Advisor and Sgt At Arms, Web Master, Hare Raiser, Disorganizer, Fine Master, Hashbadashery, Biermeister, Winemeister, Ouzo, and Hashistorian.
Aside from the regular club activities, NBH3 members have the opportunity to explore and enjoy the beautiful attractions of the Port Stephens area. These include luxury accommodations, stunning beaches, breathtaking views, boating and marinas, bushwalking trails, Shoal Bay and beyond, water sports, family-friendly activities, great surf beaches, dolphin watching, parasailing, whale watching, camel tours, sandboarding, and beautiful scenery.
For those interested in tracking their run records, NBH3 keeps a record of the number of runs done each year and in total with the club.
The club also provides regular updates on upcoming runs through their run calendar, which can be obtained from the Trailmaster, Arse Angel.
