Established in 2008, our school is dedicated to imparting one of India's most celebrated classical dance forms. The rich heritage of Kathak, originating from the ancient storytelling traditions of northern India, continues to thrive here, weaving tales of legends and mythology with graceful movements and rhythmic footwork.
Nestled in East Bangalore (near Whitefield), our classes are easily accessible from ITPL, Brookfield, Kundanhali, ACES Layout, and Mahadevpura. With a focus on the esteemed Lucknow Gharana, students are guided through both the theoretical and practical aspects of Kathak, learning from experienced instructors. From primary levels to advanced courses, including diplomas and degrees such as Prabhakar and Visharad, each stage of learning is crafted to enrich and elevate the dancer's journey.
Under the expert guidance of Neetu and her team, students are trained in all foundational elements of Kathak. Key areas of focus include Tatkaar (footwork), Padhant, Natya Kramaha, Hastak (hand movements), Chakkras, and Chaals. The Lucknow Gharana's signature style, known for its expressive storytelling and refined grace, offers dancers a profound connection to the art form, encapsulated beautifully by the teachings of Birju Maharaj.
