Alex, the organiser of the National Karate Association Faversham & Canterbury, wants to give everyone a heads-up about the current status and what’s happening with the club. For over 20 years, this club has been at the heart of Faversham, teaching Wado Ryu Karate—a style that helps boost fitness, confidence, respect, and self-esteem.
Classes are for anyone over ten, welcoming men, women, and children alike. Everyone progresses at their own pace, no matter their age or skill level. The club prides itself on creating an inclusive and supportive space.
Usually, training sessions are held on Mondays at 7:00 pm at The Baptist Church on St Marys Road, Faversham. The venue offers plenty of room and facilities. Alex makes sure that students receive quality instruction from experienced and insured pros who are also trained in first aid.
Due to current events, the Monday classes are paused. But don’t worry, Alex and the team are working on ways to connect with students remotely, offering training opportunities. Their website is packed with a grading syllabus and instructional videos, helping everyone keep up their practise at home.
Karate at NKKA comes with loads of benefits. It’s a great cardio workout with kicks, strikes, and punches that tone and strengthen muscles. Plus, it improves flexibility and motor skills, and enhances coordination.
The National Karate Association Faversham & Canterbury is linked to the National Karate & Kickboxing Association, ensuring high standards of training. They are keen to respond to any queries directly.
