Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the game or a talented player seeking a competitive environment, Narooma FC has teams for everyone. The club is committed to ensuring that football is enjoyed by all and fosters a family-oriented and friendly atmosphere.
The club is managed by a dedicated committee made up of volunteers who are passionate about their community and football. This committee, consisting of parents, players, and other interested individuals, meets monthly to discuss club business, development, and any issues that may arise. They encourage the participation and involvement of all members and welcome them to attend these meetings.
Narooma FC offers a range of positions within the club committee to ensure smooth operation and effective management. These positions include President, Secretary/Public Officer, Treasurer, Registrar, Female Participation Officer, Club Coach Coordinator, Equipment Coordinator, Merchandise Officer, Press & Social Media Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and Sponsorship Coordinator. Each position plays a crucial role in the club's success and development.
Registrations for the upcoming seasons are now open. The club is currently accepting registrations for the 2023 Winter season and the 2023-24 Summer Soccer season. The registration process is simple and can be completed online. For those utilising the NSW Government Active Kids Voucher, it is encouraged to obtain the voucher before starting the registration process.
The deadline for registrations is specified to ensure smooth team assignments and appointment of coaches.
Narooma FC promotes the MiniRoos programme, which offers football for boys and girls aged 5–11 years. MiniRoos is played on smaller fields with fewer players on each team, fostering a fun and enjoyable environment rather than focusing on winning. This programme maximises participation, allowing players to have more touches on the ball, make repeated decisions, and experience more goals. As children progress through different age groups, the pitch size, player numbers, and goal dimensions gradually increase to reflect their understanding, awareness, and physical development.
MiniRoos games take place on Sundays across the Eurobodalla region.
For older players, Narooma FC offers competitive football through their Youth teams for ages under 12s to under 16s. These teams play on full-sized fields with the full laws of the game largely in effect. The Youth teams compete against other clubs in the Eurobodalla region, such as Batemans Bay FC, Bodalla SC, Broulee FC, Clyde United SC, and Moruya FC. Games are also held on Sundays.
Players aged 17 and above transition to the All Age teams at Narooma FC, which compete in the Eurobodalla Football Association's leading all-age competition. The All Age Ladies' games take place on Wednesday nights, while the men's competition is held on Friday nights. These games offer a higher level of competition for players who are looking for a more challenging experience.
Narooma FC is a vibrant and inclusive soccer club that values community, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game. With teams for all ages and skill levels, the club provides the opportunity for individuals to participate in the greatest game on Earth – football.
