Nanaimo Contemporary Ballet

Nanaimo Contemporary Ballet (NCB) is the brainchild of Chantelle and Peer, located in the heart of Nanaimo. Their dance school offers a unique mix of classical ballet and contemporary dance, focusing on technical excellence, artistic expression, and overall physical fitness. NCB has become a hub for dancers of all ages and skill levels, creating a supportive training environment.

Founded seven years ago, NCB has grown into a thriving dance community, drawing talent from all over Nanaimo. They offer classes for everyone from beginners to pros, led by passionate and experienced instructors committed to helping each student reach their potential.

A highlight at NCB is their Petite Program, introducing young kids to dance through fun, creative movement. Their annual productions, like the acclaimed “The 4 Seasons,” showcase professional choreography, costumes, and lighting, receiving rave reviews.

As Chantelle and Peer prepare for their first child and a new studio in Port Alberni, NCB will take a brief hiatus. But the strong bonds formed with dancers, families, and the dance community will keep their spirit alive.
