The Nanaimo Buccaneers have a rich history in the hockey community, founded in 1966-67 by Cliff McNabb and Jimmy Dawes. They are a proud member of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League, competing in the North Division.
Their home games are held at the Nanaimo Ice Centre, Rink #1, providing an exciting atmosphere for fans to come and support their local team. The Buccaneers aim to not only showcase the talent of young, aspiring hockey players but also to engage and connect with the community of Nanaimo.
Led by General Manager and Head Coach Lee Stone, the Buccaneers are dedicated to fostering a positive environment for young athletes to grow and develop their skills both on and off the ice. With a strong coaching staff, including Assistant Coach Vin Jackson, the team is committed to success on the ice and in the development of their players.
