Mzuri Dance ArtisTree is a vibrant dance and music arts facilitation service located in Northcote, Australia. As a social enterprise, they offer a range of professional performances, classes, and workshops with a focus on African music and dance. Their goal is to promote cultural diversity, connexion, and belonging through the arts.

At Mzuri Dance, they believe in the power of dance to bring people together, celebrate different cultures, and foster creativity. They offer classes for women, young people, and even mum and bub dance and wellbeing classes. Each class includes a yoga-based warm-up and cool-down, ensuring the mental health and safe movement practises of their participants.

One of Mzuri Dance's flagship events is “We Are Colourful – Dances of Culture, Connexion, and Belonging. ” This annual celebration takes place at the Abbotsford Convent, where attendees can experience a vibrant showcase of diverse cultural dances. The next event is scheduled for Saturday, 12th August 2023, and promises to be a fantastic celebration of Mzuri Dance's 28 years of contribution to the arts community.

Mzuri Dance ArtisTree is not just about providing artistic experiences; they also believe in giving back. They have a not-for-profit fund that supports various initiatives and projects aimed at promoting arts and cultural diversity within the community. Their recent project, CULTURE CLUB, was funded by Vic Health and made a significant impact in engaging and empowering young people through the arts.

The creative director of Mzuri Dance, Suzanne, is highly regarded in the industry. Professor Bob Sedergreen from RMIT praises her professionalism, dedication, and years of contribution to roots music. Suzanne is not only an exceptional vocalist, dancer, and percussionist but also a skilled teacher, passing on her knowledge and expertise to others.
