

Myerscough Junior Football Development Club is a prestigious football club located in Preston, New Zealand. As an FA Charter Standard Community Club, they are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all players, ensuring zero tolerance for any form of discrimination.
With the start of a new season, Myerscough Juniors is proud to announce that they have once again been awarded the Kick It Out Equality Charter Standard for the 2022-2023 season. This accreditation reflects their dedication to promoting equality and diversity within the sport.
One of the highlight events of the club is the annual Presentation Day, which was held on Sunday 26th June 2022, at the renowned Preston Grasshoppers venue. This year's event celebrated the remarkable achievements of over 40 teams and 350+ players. Despite the challenges posed by Covid, the event was a huge success, marking the first Presentation Day since 2019.
The club has also seen remarkable success in cup competitions. The boys' teams had an outstanding performance in the PDPL Cup Finals at Fleetwood Town's Highbury Stadium on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th May 2021. With 2 wins and 1 defeat, the boys showcased their talent and dedication. The U11 Reds and U12 Reds both emerged as winners in their respective categories.
Similarly, the girls' teams demonstrated their prowess in the PDPL Cup/Plate Finals held at Fleetwood Town's Highbury Stadium on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th May 2021. With 4 wins and 2 defeats, the girls celebrated victories in various age groups, including U8 Girls, U11 Girls, and U12 Girls.
Moreover, Myerscough Juniors has garnered recognition for their exceptional work in female football development. At the Lancashire FA 2020 Awards Ceremony, the club received the Female Football Development Programme award. This accolade acknowledges the club's commitment to nurturing and supporting girls' football, with their Wildcats centre now boasting 7 teams and nearly 100 girls.
The club also actively engages in philanthropic endeavours. In the lead-up to Christmas, Myerscough Juniors conducted a food bank collection for the LUV PRESTON Charity. Despite facing challenges due to the suspension of training, the generosity of their members and committee resulted in the donation of 40 bags and boxes filled with food, drink, and toiletries.
Additionally, Myerscough Juniors takes the safety and well-being of its members seriously. They have recently installed a defibrillator on the external wall of the 3G changing rooms at Myerscough College. This life-saving equipment, provided by The Big Heart Charity, will be readily available for all users of the sports facility.
