Munno Para Hash House Harriers

Munno Para Hash House Harriers is a well-established sports club in the City of Playford, South Australia, founded on November 27, 1978. The club is known for its unique “runs” that are more of an enjoyable walk rather than a traditional running event. These runs take place every Monday at 6:45pm, regardless of the time of year.

Participating in a run with the Munno Para Hash House Harriers costs $5, which includes the run itself and a meal called “makan” (unless the club is at a pub, in which case there is no fee and participants can purchase their own meal). It is customary for attendees to bring their own drinks, a plate, fighting irons (cutlery or utensils), and a mug.

Munno Para Hash House Harriers is one of the four currently active Hash clubs in South Australia, with three located in the metropolitan area and one in the country. The club runs are generally held on Monday and Tuesday nights, except the Full Moon run, which takes place on or near the full moon (but not on Monday or Tuesday nights). However, the Full Moon Hash runs are subject to demand.
