Located in scenic Mount Hutt, New Zealand, the Mt Hutt Bike Park offers an exhilarating cycling experience for riders of all levels. With a vast trail network spanning over 40 km, riders can explore everything from family-friendly XC loops to thrilling single tracks and technical descents.
The trails at Mt Hutt Bike Park are meticulously maintained and feature well-crafted berms, bridge features, and jumps. Don't worry if you're not a fan of jumps there are easy lines around all the features and jumps, making the park accessible to riders of varying skill levels.
One of the best things about Mt Hutt Bike Park is that it is free to access. However, if you wish to host an event or bring paying customers to the park, you will need to apply for permission. Application forms can be found on our website.
To ensure the trails remain in top condition, the park holds regular Maintenance Days, which are announced on our Facebook page. We encourage riders to help maintain the trails, as many hands make light work and contribute to the sustainability of the park.
For a comprehensive overview of the trail routes, riders can refer to Trailforks using the smartphone app, which utilises GPS technology to pinpoint your location within the park. Additionally, you can support the park by donating trail karma through Trailforks, with the proceeds benefiting Bike Methven.
Bike Methven, the club behind Mt Hutt Bike Park, is a passionate group of cycling enthusiasts who enjoy a variety of disciplines, including cross-country, enduro, downhill, and road cycling. The park serves as their home ride base, featuring various trails for every level of rider.
In addition to maintaining and expanding the trail network, Bike Methven is currently working on extending intermediate level tracks in the lower part of the park and building a UCI-spec BMX track in Central Methven.
Despite being relatively new, Bike Methven has a strong background within the Methven community. The club welcomes riders of all skill levels and invites them to join in the adventure and enjoy the trails, which are truly a reflection of their club, their mountain, and their town.
