The club features a modern training centre dedicated to Martial Arts. It’s a place where children can develop positive characters through Tang Soo Do. The club ensures a fun yet disciplined atmosphere to instil values like respect from the beginning.
The instructor team is highly skilled, with Master Andy White, Master Ashley Sutherland, Grand Master Ian Parker, Master Shannon Parker, and Master Hollie White sharing their expertise. They’ve participated in events like the World Moo Sool Do Championships and trained with noted martial artists such as Shannon Lee and Benny The Jet.
MPSK actively engages with the Martial Arts community, sharing updates on social media. They’ve taken part in events like the WMAA-ROC and the Gathering of the World Masters. The club also organised a seminar featuring the actor Mark Strange, showing their dedication to offering unique experiences for members.
In addition to regular Martial Arts classes, MPSK offers sessions for individuals with autism and additional needs. These include pad work, bag work, and trampoline activities to address hyperactivity, aiming to bring joy and inclusivity to those with special needs.
Tang Soo Do, the core discipline at MPSK, has a rich history from the Moo Duk Kwan school founded by Grandmaster Hwang Kee in 1945. Students wear traditional white Dobok and belts showing their training duration and proficiency.
Traditional forms are key in Tang Soo Do training. Forms consist of blocks, punches, and kicks, starting with basic stances and moving onto advanced Pyung Ahn forms, meaning 'peaceful confidence,' enhancing their skills.
Andy White’s commitment to high-quality Martial Arts training and community support continues to inspire people in Peterborough to pursue their martial arts goals and lead disciplined lives.
