Move 2 Music

Move 2 Music is a dance school and fitness programme located in Market Harborough, offering fun and friendly dance sessions for individuals of all ages and ability levels. The programme is designed to make exercise enjoyable and incorporates freestyle choreography to specially chosen and mixed Music 4 Moves. Each routine gradually builds up until participants are dancing at approximately 70% of their individual maximum heart rate (MHR). The classes are reminiscent of the old days, like a 10 o'clock disco, except in the morning!

Move 2 Music offers a variety of classes to cater to different interests and fitness goals. The Legs, Bums, and Tums class takes place every Monday and Friday at 9:30am and is a 60-minute session that combines aerobic cardio with muscle strengthening and stretches. The Dance Cardio class occurs every Monday at 10:30am and involves simple dance routines choreographed for enjoyment and fitness. The Tap Dancing class takes place every Friday at 10:30am and offers a three-week term block to learn tap steps and a dance just for fun.

Due to popular demand, Move 2 Music has added a second Legs, Bums, and Tums class on Fridays at 9:30am. Special offers are available for regular attendees, such as combining two Monday morning sessions for 10 or two Wednesday classes for 8. 50. All classes are compliant with Covid19 safety guidance and require pre-booking through email, along with a pre-exercise assessment questionnaire for safety and insurance purposes.

Move 2 Music is located at the Little Bowden Bowling Club on Kettering Road in Market Harborough. The classes are led by Amanda, an experienced dance and aerobic teacher. Amanda has taught a diverse range of individuals, including Saudi princesses, expat communities, dance students, and non-dancers. Her classes focus on carefully considered choreography and safe instruction to prevent and protect against injuries.

Each piece of choreography has specially tailored progressions to ensure continuous improvement in fitness.
